Upper Engine Bearing Shell for Suzuki Powertrains

This precision upper bearing shell supports the crankshaft/connecting rod journal, keeping oil clearance correct and friction low. It’s an OEM‑grade replacement designed for reliable lubrication and long service life in daily use or harsh city traffic.

Why this part is needed

The bearing centers the rotating journal, forms a stable oil film, and protects the block and crank from metal-to-metal contact. Correct clearance means quiet running, stable oil pressure, and clean starts even when hot.

How it works

Oil feeds through the block and groove to the bearing surface. As the crank spins, a hydrodynamic wedge of oil lifts the journal off the shell. A tri‑metal structure (steel back, copper/lead layer, soft overlay) resists load, embeds small debris, and prevents scuffing.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Knocking at low RPM, low oil pressure, shiny flakes in oil, and rising temps. Continued driving risks spun bearing, scored crankshaft, loss of power, and full engine seizure. Fix early to save the crank.
