Premium Exhaust Valve for Mazda Engines
Keep your Mazda engine breathing right. This heat‑resistant poppet valve controls spent gases leaving the combustion chamber. Proper sealing preserves compression, smooth power, clean emissions, and long catalyst life.
Why you need it
An accurate exhaust valve ensures fast scavenging, prevents hot gas backflow, protects the catalytic converter, and maintains fuel economy. It’s critical for cold starts, highway pulls, and everyday reliability.
How it works
During the exhaust stroke, the cam lobe opens the valve via bucket/rocker. Burnt gases exit through the manifold. When the spring closes, the precision‑ground face seals against the seat. A hardened stem runs in the guide with tight clearance, while slight rotation spreads wear for long life.
What happens if it’s bad ⚠️
Burnt, bent, or worn valves cause low compression, rough idle, misfire, loss of power, backfire, high fuel use, and a check engine light. Metal debris can scar the piston and head, and prolonged driving can overheat the catalyst.
Build and install notes ️
Nickel‑chromium alloy, nitrided stem, 45° face, OE geometry. Use new stem seals, measure stem‑guide clearance, lap only if spec requires, set lash correctly, and torque the head/cam caps to spec.
