Why you need it ❄️?
When the engine is cold, the valve keeps coolant inside the block for a quick warmup. At operating temp, it routes flow to the radiator for controlled cooling. This balance protects gaskets, oil, and alloy parts from thermal stress and extends engine life.
How it works ?
Inside is a wax capsule. As coolant heats, the wax expands and pushes a rod that opens the valve. A spring closes it as temperature drops. The valve constantly modulates, keeping the gauge steady and the radiator fan workload optimal.
What happens if it fails ⚠️
