High‑Performance Ignition Plug for Mitsubishi Gasoline Engines

Why this part is needed

This plug lights the air‑fuel mix inside the cylinder, giving clean starts, strong torque, and stable idle. Fresh plugs cut fuel use and keep emissions low. They also protect ignition coils and the catalytic converter by reducing misfires.

How it works

A fine‑wire center electrode and a ground strap create a high‑voltage spark from the coil. The ceramic insulator keeps the spark focused, while a copper core pulls heat away, keeping the tip at the right temperature to burn deposits. Correct heat range means reliable ignition in city and off‑road driving ⚑.

If the plug is worn or broken

Expect hard starts, rough idle, flat spots on acceleration, poor MPG, and misfire codes (P0300‑P030X). Sooty exhaust, fuel smell, and possible catalyst damage can follow if ignored.

Tech tips ️

  • Set gap 0.8–1.0 mm (check service manual).
  • Install on a cool engine; torque 18–25 Nm.
  • Replace all plugs together: 30–60k km (iridium up to 100k km).
