Why this part is needed
This head gasket seals the joint between the engine block and the cylinder head. It keeps compression inside the cylinders and keeps coolant and oil in their own passages. A correct seal means stable power, clean emissions, and no leaks. Using an OEM-spec gasket restores factory performance and reliability.
How it works
Built as a multi-layer steel design with reinforced fire rings and sealing beads, it compresses precisely when you torque the head bolts. The gasket creates a gas-tight and fluid-tight barrier across the deck surface, handling extreme heat, pressure, and rapid temperature swings. It maintains correct compression ratio and protects against detonation and cross-leaks.
