This small but critical engine part is needed to direct a focused stream of oil to hot, fast-moving internal areas—most commonly the underside of the pistons and nearby cylinder walls. By adding targeted lubrication and cooling, it helps the engine run smoother, reduces heat stress, and supports long-term reliability.
How it works ⚙️
Pressurized oil from the engine’s lubrication system feeds the nozzle body. A calibrated orifice shapes the flow into a “jet,” aiming oil exactly where it’s required. This controlled spray lowers piston crown temperature, limits friction, and helps prevent oil starvation in high-load driving.
Why replacement matters ?
If the nozzle clogs, cracks, or loosens, oil may not reach the target area. That can lead to:
