Engine Coolant Outlet Housing

Keep your engine temperature under control with this precision coolant outlet housing. It directs hot coolant from the cylinder head to the upper radiator hose, seals the system with a gasket/O-ring, and often carries a sensor boss. Made to handle heat cycles and vibration, it resists warping and cracking for long, leak-free service.

Why this part is needed

Correct coolant flow prevents overheating, pinging, oil breakdown, and warped heads. A solid outlet keeps system pressure, stops leaks, and ensures the radiator receives steady flow for efficient cooling.

How it works

When the thermostat opens, coolant exits the head through this outlet and moves to the radiator to shed heat, then returns via the lower hose. The neck angle and smooth passages protect the hose from kinks and maintain flow rate.

What happens if it’s broken

Cracks or a flattened O‑ring cause coolant loss, low reservoir level, sweet smell, steam, and fluctuating gauge. Air pockets can trigger hot spots, rough idle, weak cabin heat, or limp mode. Long-term neglect risks head‑gasket damage.

Tech tips

Always replace the gasket/O‑ring, clean mating surfaces, torque evenly, bleed air, and refill with the correct coolant mix.
