Valve Cover Gasket – Right Bank for Mazda V6 K‑Series ?

This precision gasket seals the right cylinder head cover on Mazda K‑series V6 engines. It keeps engine oil inside the head, stops dust and moisture from entering, and prevents oil from reaching hot exhaust parts. If you want a dry, clean engine bay and stable oil pressure, this seal is essential.

Why this part is needed ?️

Over time the original rubber hardens from heat cycles. That leads to sweating and then full leaks around the cover. A fresh, heat‑resistant gasket restores the factory seal and protects ignition parts and belts from oil contamination.

How it works ?

The molded rubber profile compresses between the rocker cover and cylinder head. Even torque on the cover bolts creates uniform clamping. At cam cap corners, a tiny dab of RTV complements the gasket to block micro gaps.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

Oil drips onto the exhaustβ€”smoke and burnt smell. Plug wells fill with oilβ€”misfire and rough idle. Alternator and belts get soakedβ€”charging issues and squeal. Long term, low oil level risks lifter tick and bearing wear.

Tech tips

Clean both surfaces, remove old sealant, and inspect the cover for warpage. Install dry (except RTV at corners), then torque in sequence to spec. Recheck after a short heat cycle.
