Suspension Control Arm Bushing for Mazda ??
This suspension bushing is a small part with a big job: it cushions the connection between the control arm and the chassis. It is needed to keep the wheel aligned while absorbing road shocks, vibration, and harsh impacts. A healthy bushing helps your car feel stable, quiet, and predictable on corners and braking.
How It Works βοΈ
The bushing uses a tough rubber (or elastomer) bonded to a metal sleeve. When the suspension moves up and down, it flexes instead of letting metal rub on metal. This controlled flex allows the control arm to pivot smoothly while keeping the geometry tight, improving handling and reducing noise.
If Itβs Worn or Broken β
A damaged bushing can cause clunking noises, steering wander, uneven tire wear, and poor braking stability. In severe cases, the control arm can shift under load, making the vehicle feel unsafe and accelerating wear on tires, ball joints, and shocks.
