Clutch Release Lever for Smooth, Consistent Shifts βš™οΈ

This precision release lever is the heart of your manual transmission’s engagement system. Built to OE geometry and strength, it restores crisp pedal feel, quiet operation, and dependable take-off in daily driving or spirited runs .

Why this part is needed

Every gear change depends on the lever to transfer pedal force to the throwout bearing. A tight, correctly shaped lever ensures full clutch disengagement, preventing drag, grinding, and premature wear of the disc and pressure plate.

How it works

When you press the pedal, the slave cylinder pushes the lever. The lever pivots on its ball stud and presses the release bearing against the diaphragm spring, separating the clutch from the flywheel. Proper leverage, heat-treated steel, and a true pivot give you light effort and clean shifts.

What happens if it’s worn or broken

Symptoms include hard shifting, gears that won’t select, chatter, squeaks, a wandering bite point, or a pedal that pops or feels spongy. Continued use can chew the bearing, scar the input shaft sleeve, overheat the pressure plate, and even strand you with no drive.

Tech notes & install tips

Inspect pivot ball and spring clip; replace if pitted. Lightly grease pivot and bearing contact points with high-temp molyβ€”do not over-grease. Verify slave pushrod alignment, clutch fork boot seal, and bleed the hydraulics after refit .
