Engine Coolant Thermostat — OEM-quality replacement
This thermostat keeps your Mazda BP-series engine in the ideal temperature zone. On cold start it stays shut to speed warm-up, improve fuel economy, and deliver cabin heat faster ??. Once coolant reaches the set point, it opens to route flow through the radiator, preventing overheating. Replacing a tired valve restores stable temps, smooth idle, and long engine life.
How it works
Inside is a wax-pellet capsule. As the wax expands with heat, it pushes a rod that lifts the valve. When coolant cools, a spring closes it again. This cycle holds roughly 85–90°C, balancing power, emissions, and protection for everyday driving.
