    This thermostat valve is a small but critical control part in the cooling system.     How It Works

    Inside the housing is a heat-sensitive wax element. When coolant is cold, the valve stays closed, forcing coolant to circulate in the engine so it warms up quickly. As temperature rises, the element expands and opens the valve, letting coolant flow to the radiator for cooling. This automatic opening/closing keeps the needle steady and prevents overheating.
