This cooling system part is needed to keep the engine at the correct working temperature in all weather. It helps the cabin heater perform normally and prevents overheating in traffic or heavy load driving.
How It Works βοΈπ₯
Inside the housing is a wax element that reacts to heat. When coolant is cold, the valve stays closed, forcing coolant to circulate inside the engine for faster warm-up. As temperature rises, the wax expands and opens the valve, sending coolant to the radiator for cooling. This simple automatic control keeps the ECU readings stable and protects head gasket, pistons, and oil quality.

Coolant canβt reach the radiator, so the temperature climbs fast, risking boiling, warped cylinder head, and coolant loss.
