Engine Coolant Thermostat Valve
Keep your engine at the sweet spot with this OEβstyle coolant thermostat . It regulates coolant flow between block and radiator, so the motor warms up fast and then stays at the correct operating temperature for power, economy, and longevity.
Why this part matters
Faster warmβup reduces wear, improves cabin heat, stabilizes fuel use and emissions, and protects the head gasket. Perfect for preventive cooling system service or when replacing water pump, radiator, or hoses.
How it works
A sealed wax pellet senses temperature. Around ~82β88Β°C it expands, pushing a rod that opens the main valve and closes the bypass. Below that, it stays shut to keep heat in. The result: steady temperature under load, traffic, or highway runs .
If it fails
Stuck open: long warmβup, weak heater, higher fuel use, code P0128, carbon buildup. Stuck closed: rapid overheating, boiling coolant, pinging, warped head or blown gasket. Other signs include temp gauge swings and fans running constantly.
