Hydraulic Clutch Slave Cylinder for TFR/TFS Platforms
This hydraulic clutch release cylinder restores smooth, light pedal feel and clean gear changes. It is needed to keep the transmission safe from hard shifts and grinding, especially under load or in hot climates. Built for OE-style fit on TFR/TFS/UCR/UCS frames, it drops in without modification and seals tight.
How it works ⚙️
When you press the pedal, the master cylinder sends brake fluid pressure through the line. Inside the slave, a piston moves a pushrod that drives the clutch fork and release bearing, separating the clutch from the flywheel. A return spring and precise bore finish let the piston retract smoothly, ready for the next shift.
What happens if it’s failing ⚠️
Signs include low or spongy pedal, fluid at the dust boot, hard or notchy shifting, and clutch drag. Left ignored, you may lose clutch release entirely, risk synchro wear, or get stranded. Replace at the first leak.
Build and fit
Cast alloy body, hardened piston, long-life seals, bleeder screw for easy purging. Use fresh DOT3/4 fluid, bleed properly, and inspect hose and fork pivot. OEM ref: 8979451770.
