Passenger Dashboard Airbag Module ?️
This safety unit is fitted inside the passenger side of the dashboard and is designed to protect the front passenger in a crash. How It Works ⚙️
When the SRS control unit detects a severe impact through crash sensors, it sends a signal to the inflator. The inflator instantly produces gas, filling the airbag in milliseconds, then the bag vents to absorb energy and prevent rebound. The module is tuned to work with seat belts, helping the restraint system act as one package.
If It’s Broken or Faulty ?
A damaged module, corroded connector, or deployed unit can trigger an SRS warning light and may disable the passenger airbag. In an accident, it might not deploy at all, or deploy incorrectly—both situations can increase injury risk. Always replace with the correct spec and never install used or previously deployed SRS parts.
