Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor for Suzuki Vehicles ⚙️
This precision timing sensor is the heart of your engine’s management. It tracks crank rotation so the ECU knows exact piston position and engine speed. With that live data, ignition timing and fuel injection are synchronized for easy starts, smooth idle, strong pull, and clean emissions .
Why you need it
Without accurate crank data, the ECU can’t calculate spark or injector events. This sensor ensures correct advance, stable RPM, and protects the catalytic converter by preventing raw fuel from misfires.
How it works
A magnetic/Hall element reads the teeth on the crank trigger wheel. As teeth pass, the sensor creates a precise waveform. The ECU converts this signal into RPM and crank angle, aligning spark and fuel to each cylinder’s cycle.
When it fails ⚠️
Hard/no start, long cranking, stalling when hot, limp mode, poor fuel economy, random misfires, erratic tachometer, and stored DTCs (e.g., crank signal loss). If the signal drops out, the engine may die and not restart.
Install & tips
Located near the crank pulley or bellhousing. Inspect the connector, clean mounting face, set correct air gap, route wiring away from heat, and torque to spec. Clear codes and verify live RPM. Built with heat-proof potting, sealed connector, and OE-matched plug for fast, plug‑and‑play fit.
