How It Works

When the compressor builds pressure, the refrigerant becomes hot and must travel through a reinforced hose designed to handle vibration, heat, and high PSI. The crimped fittings and inner liner prevent leakage, while the outer layer protects against engine bay abrasion.

Signs of Failure & What Happens If It Breaks

If the hose cracks, rubs through, or the crimp joint seeps, refrigerant escapes and the AC will lose cooling fast. You may notice oily residue around the fittings, hissing, or the compressor cycling frequently.
