Why you need it

How it works

The ECU/AC relay powers the electric motor when coolant or refrigerant temps rise. The blade pulls air through the condenser (and often past the radiator),stabilizing pressures and improving heat exchange even at low speed or standstill.

When it fails

Signs include weak cooling at idle, loud humming or grinding, fan not spinning, blown fuses, and compressor cycling. Prolonged failure can overheat the AC, damage the compressor, and warp plastics near the core.
