Air Conditioning Receiver‑Drier Kit ❄️

This A/C receiver‑drier kit keeps your cabin cold and your compressor safe. Mounted on the high‑pressure side near the condenser, it stores liquid refrigerant, filters debris, and removes moisture with a desiccant pack. Dry, clean refrigerant protects the expansion valve and prevents ice, acid, and internal corrosion.

Why this part is needed

Replace whenever the system is opened, after compressor or condenser service, or when cooling weakens. Desiccant saturates over time; once full of moisture, it can no longer protect the system. An OE‑spec drier restores stable pressures and smooth, quiet operation.

How it works ⚙️

Refrigerant enters the canister, passes through a filter screen, and across desiccant beads that capture water. The receiver section stores liquid so the expansion device gets a steady feed. Flow direction and seals ensure no bypass or leaks.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Expect warm or intermittent cooling, frosting at the valve, rapid clutch cycling, pressure spikes, compressor noise, “black death” debris, and acid‑caused leaks. Left unchecked, the compressor can seize.

Install notes

• Replace O‑rings; add correct PAG oil amount
• Vacuum 30–45 min, charge by weight
• Leak check with nitrogen or dye; follow flow arrow
• Torque fittings; don’t twist pipes
