Vehicle Speed Sensor Replacement – Accurate Road Data You Can Trust ?

This electronic sensor is a key input for the speedometer and the ECU. It reads vehicle movement from the gearbox/transfer case and converts rotation into a clean electrical signal. Your dashboard speed display, cruise control (if fitted),transmission shift timing, and fuel mapping all depend on this steady signal.

Why this part is needed

When your truck/SUV is used for towing, city driving, or rough roads, heat and vibration slowly weaken internal circuitry and the magnetic pickup. A fresh sensor restores stable speed data so the vehicle can drive smoothly and predictably.

How it works

The tip detects a rotating gear/reluctor. Each pulse equals a small amount of wheel/shaft movement. The ECU counts pulses per second to calculate road speed and adjusts shifting and engine load strategy in real time.
