Steering Tie Rod – OEM‑grade precision for stable handling

This front steering link keeps your wheels pointed straight, holds alignment, and delivers crisp response. It’s engineered for tight tolerances and long life, giving secure control on city roads and highways.

Why you need it

A healthy tie rod locks toe angle, prevents wandering, and protects tires. Replace at the first signs of play, torn boot, or corrosion to restore safety and ride comfort.

How it works

It connects the rack‑and‑pinion to the steering knuckle. A ball‑and‑socket joint lets the hub move up and down while steering left/right. The threaded section is used for toe adjustment. Heat‑treated steel, a low‑friction bearing, and a sealed dust boot keep movement smooth and protected from water and salt.

What happens if it fails

Expect clunks on bumps, vague center feel, wheel shimmy, pulling, and rapid or scalloped tire wear. Alignment drifts, braking stability drops, and fuel economy suffers. If the joint separates, steering can be lost instantly ⚠️.

Install tips

Replace in pairs when possible, torque to spec, hold the flats to avoid twisting boots, and perform a wheel alignment after fitting. Road‑test at low speed first.
