Why this part is needed

It locks rear toe and controls axle movement under braking and cornering. With the rod healthy, the chassis stays planted, grip improves, and noise and vibration stay low. It also helps protect tires from feathering and cupping.

How it works ⚙️

The rod links the rear subframe to the hub/axle bracket. The bushings flex for vertical wheel travel, while the rigid bar resists side and fore‑aft forces. This balance keeps geometry within spec, so ABS/ESP and alignment settings operate as designed.

If it’s worn or broken ⚠️

Expect clunks on bumps, rear‑end wander, shaky high‑speed lanes, longer braking, and uneven tire wear. Alignment may not hold, and stability control can intervene more often. Severe damage can let the wheel “rear‑steer,” risking loss of control.

Replacement notes
