Premium Rear Parking Brake Adjuster Mechanism

This OE-style unit keeps the drum-in-hat parking brake on your Infiniti/Nissan correctly set. It holds the tiny shoe-to-drum gap so lever travel stays short, the car holds on hills, and the shoes wear evenly. Ideal when servicing rotors or shoes, or when the handbrake no longer feels crisp.

Why you need it ✅

With age the star wheel can rust, threads seize, or the body deform. Then the parking brake goes weak, the lever pulls too far, or the shoes start to drag. Fresh adjusters restore firm hill-hold, smooth release, and quiet operation, preventing hot smells and uneven wear.

How it works ⚙️

A toothed star and a threaded barrel expand the spreader between the shoes. Each pull (or reverse brake action) clicks the star to keep clearance correct. Precision threads and anti-corrosion coating deliver smooth, repeatable clicks and stable adjustment over time.

If it fails ⚠️

A seized unit causes long lever travel and poor holding power. A jammed short unit keeps the shoes in contact, overheating the hat section of the rotor, glazing linings, warping rotors, and stressing cables. You may hear scraping, lose parking hold on slopes, and fail inspection.
