Engine Oil Pickup Strainer Assembly ️

This component is a key guard for your engine lubrication system. It sits in the oil pan area and helps deliver clean oil to the oil pump, so bearings, camshafts, and turbo (if equipped) stay protected under all driving conditions.

Why this part is needed ✅

Every engine creates small debris over time (sludge, gasket bits, sealant flakes). The strainer catches these before they can enter the pump and oil galleries. That keeps oil pressure stable and reduces internal wear.

How it works ⚙️

Oil is drawn through a mesh screen at the pickup. The screen filters larger particles while allowing steady flow. The pump then builds pressure and sends oil through the filter and into the engine.

What happens if it’s damaged or clogged ❌

A restricted or cracked pickup can cause low oil pressure, noisy valve train, warning light flicker, and rapid bearing damage. In severe cases the pump cavitates, oil starvation occurs, and the engine may seize.
