Why you need it ✅

Over time the inner wire stretches, strands fray, and the sheath dries. That adds friction, raises the bite point, and makes the pedal heavy. Replacing the cable is a quick, cost-effective fix to protect your manual transmission.

How it works

A braided steel core runs inside a low-friction liner with sealed ends. When you press the pedal, the core pulls the release arm, separating clutch plates so you can shift. Correct length and end fittings keep alignment true and reduce wear.

If the cable fails ⚠️

• Hard or squeaky pedal, jerky starts
• Dragging clutch, gear grind into 1st/Reverse
• High bite point, slipping under load
• Snap = no clutch function; vehicle won’t select gears

• Route as factory; avoid sharp bends
• Set pedal free play approx. 10–15 mm
• Recheck adjustment after first drive
