Oil Pump Sealing Ring Set for Suzuki Engines

Keeping correct oil pressure starts with a tight oil pump. This sealing ring set is used to close the oil pump passages and joints so oil stays inside the pump circuit and does not leak back to the sump. A good seal helps the pump build pressure fast on cold start and keeps stable lubrication at idle and high RPM.

Why this part is needed

The oil pump works like the engine’s “heart,” pushing oil through galleries to bearings, cam parts, and timing components. The sealing rings prevent air ingestion and internal pressure loss. Even a small leak at the pump housing can drop pressure enough to cause warning lights and noisy valvetrain.

How it works

These rings sit in machined grooves and compress when the pump cover/housing is tightened. That compression creates a barrier against hot, thin engine oil and vibration. ✅ Proper crush = proper sealing.

What happens if it’s worn or broken

Cracked, flattened, or hardened rings can cause oil seepage, slow pressure build-up, low oil pressure under load, ticking sounds, and in worst cases bearing damage or engine seizure ⚠️. Always replace seals during oil pump service to avoid repeat labor.
