Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor for Nissan SUVs ?

This rear O2 sensor keeps your engine clean, efficient, and within emission limits. It reads oxygen after the catalytic converter, helping the ECU fine‑tune fuel trim and verify converter health. A precise reading means smoother idle, better MPG, and fewer emissions ?. Built with a fast‑heating element and a corrosion‑resistant body, it’s a direct‑fit with the correct connector for a quick swap.

Why you need it ?

The downstream sensor confirms that the catalytic converter is working and supports steady closed‑loop control. Without it, the ECU guesses, fuel use rises, and you risk failing inspection.

How it works

Inside is a zirconia cell that outputs about 0.1–0.9V as exhaust oxygen changes. The internal heater brings the tip up to temp fast, so the ECU gets stable data early. The ECU compares upstream vs. downstream signals; a healthy converter shows slower, steadier switching at the rear sensor.

What happens if it’s bad ⚠️

Check Engine light on, poor fuel economy, rough idle, rich/lean smell, sluggish response, and possible codes (heater circuit or sensor range). Long term, a bad sensor can overwork and damage the catalytic converter and cause test failure.
