How it works

Driven by the water pump, coolant flows through the tube to the thermostat housing and water jackets. Smooth bends maintain flow rate; correct diameter preserves pump efficiency. The machined seat and bracket keep alignment so the radiator hose and clamps seal tight.

Cracks, rust pitting, or a hardened seal cause leaks and air pockets: overheating, temp spikes, weak heater, sweet odor, white residue, or puddles under the car. Prolonged use may warp the head or damage the thermostat. Replace promptly; clean mating faces, fit a new O‑ring, and torque clamps evenly ️.
