Engine Coolant Outlet Cover (Thermostat Housing Cap)

This precision water neck closes the engine’s outlet passage and secures the upper radiator hose. Built to OE geometry with a heat‑resistant seal, it keeps coolant inside the system, holds pressure, and helps the engine reach and maintain the right temperature.

Why this part is needed ️

• Seals the thermostat housing to stop leaks
• Directs hot coolant to the radiator for cooling

• Prevents air from entering the cooling circuit

How it works

Bolted to the cylinder head/thermostat housing, the cover forms a tight joint with an O‑ring or gasket. When the thermostat opens, coolant flows through this outlet to the upper hose and radiator. The rigid neck resists vibration and thermal cycling, protecting hose alignment and sensor ports, if equipped.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

• Coolant leaks, overheating, or steam
• Low heater performance and fluctuating gauge
• Air pockets leading to corrosion or water pump wear

Install tips

• Clean mating surfaces; use a new O‑ring/gasket
• Tighten bolts evenly to spec; avoid overtightening
• Refill with correct coolant and bleed air
• Inspect upper hose and clamp for age cracks
