Thermostat Housing Cap for Suzuki Cooling System

This precision thermostat cover seals the outlet at the engine, keeping coolant pressure stable and routing flow to the radiator. A secure, flat sealing face prevents leaks, stabilizes temperature, and protects the head gasket and cabin heater. Replace during cooling service, or when the old unit shows corrosion, warping, or thread damage.

How it works

Mounted over the thermostat, the cap clamps the gasket/O-ring and forms a rigid, leak-free joint. As the valve opens, coolant passes through this neck to the upper hose. The machined flange and bolt ears apply even clamping force, while quality alloy resists heat cycles and electrolysis for long service life.

What happens if it’s broken

Cracks or pitting cause coolant loss, air pockets, and overheating. Signs include sweet-smelling steam, low reservoir level, rusty trails around the housing, fluctuating temp gauge, and weak heater. Driving like this risks warped cylinder head and blown gasket—costly repairs.

Tech tips

• Always replace gasket/O-ring with the cover.
• Clean mating surface; torque bolts evenly to spec.
