This timing chain is a core internal engine part that keeps the crankshaft and camshaft perfectly synchronized. How It Works ⚙️

The chain loops around sprockets on the crank and cam(s). As the crankshaft turns, the chain drives the camshaft at a precise ratio, keeping ignition and valve timing aligned. With proper tension and lubrication, it reduces timing drift, supports stable idle, and helps protect engine efficiency.

When Replacement Becomes Critical ?

A worn or stretched chain can cause rattling at start-up, rough running, loss of power, higher fuel use, and fault codes. If it jumps teeth, valve timing goes off and the engine may misfire or fail to start. In severe cases, it can lead to internal damage such as bent valves and costly rebuilds.
