Rear Engine Mount Bracket (Manual Transmission)

This rear mounting member is a key support piece that ties the engine and gearbox to the vehicle frame. It is needed to keep the powertrain aligned, limit unwanted movement, and help the rubber mount do its job without twisting or tearing.

How This Part Works ⚙️

The bracket bolts to the engine/transmission side and seats the rear mount in the correct position. Under acceleration, braking, and gear changes, it channels load into the chassis, controlling torque roll and keeping driveline angles steady. This reduces vibration, protects exhaust joints, and helps shifting feel smooth.

What Happens When It’s Damaged ❗

If bent, cracked, or loose, the engine can rock excessively. Common results include clunking on take-off, harsh vibration at idle, misaligned mounts, premature bushing failure, stressed CV joints, and even contact between engine, subframe, or exhaust. In severe cases, bolts can shear and the drivetrain may sit crooked.
