Front Stabilizer Bar Bushing (Suspension)

This small rubber mount is a key comfort and safety part in the front suspension. It holds the stabilizer (sway) bar firmly to the chassis, so the bar can resist body roll when you turn, brake, or drive over uneven roads ??.

Why you need it

As the stabilizer bar twists, this bushing cushions vibration and keeps the bar centered. It prevents metal-to-metal contact and helps maintain tight steering feel.

How it works

The bushing clamps around the stabilizer bar and sits in a bracket. It allows controlled rotation while absorbing shocks. Good material elasticity keeps the bar from shifting, reducing noise and improving corner stability.

What happens if it’s worn or broken

Expect clunking over bumps, loose handling, extra body roll, and uneven suspension response ?. If ignored, it can accelerate wear on links, brackets, and even tires due to unstable geometry.

Signs to replace

  • Squeaks or knocks from the front end
  • Cracked, swollen, or loose rubber
  • Wandering steering feel in turns
