Engine Air Intake Filter Element
This service part is needed to keep dust, sand, and soot out of the engine. Clean air is as important as clean oil: it protects the piston rings, cylinder walls, turbo/MAF sensor area (if equipped), and helps the engine breathe correctly. ✅
How It Works
The element sits inside the air box and forces incoming air through multi-layer filter media. The media traps dirt while still allowing enough airflow for proper fuel mixture. When the air path stays clean, the ECU can meter air accurately, throttle response is smoother, and fuel economy stays stable.
Why Replacement Matters
A clogged or damaged element restricts airflow, causing weak acceleration, higher fuel use, and rough idle. If the filter tears or is installed wrong, unfiltered grit can enter the intake and act like sandpaper—speeding up engine wear and contaminating sensors.
