Rear Heater Pipe Joint β€” OE MR958633

This precision connector links the rear heater core to the coolant pipes running under the body. It seals and directs hot antifreeze to the rear HVAC, keeping third-row passengers warm and aiding defogging in cold weather. Built to OEM geometry for a tight, leak-free fit and long service life.

Why you need it ❄️

Rear heat depends on steady coolant flow. A worn or cracked joint lets coolant escape, starves the rear heater core, and adds air to the system. Replacing the joint restores comfort, protects the engine from low-coolant overheating, and prevents messy leaks.

How it works

The joint connects metal piping to the rear heater core inlet/outlet using O-rings and clamps. Under pump pressure, coolant flows through the connector; molded channels and precise bores keep flow rate and sealing correct.

What happens if it breaks ⚠️

Signs include sweet coolant smell, damp carpet near rear, low reservoir level, weak rear heat, and rising engine temperature. Left unchecked, you risk head gasket damage and heater core corrosion.

Install tips βœ…

Replace O-rings, lightly lube with coolant, torque clamps evenly, and bleed the cooling system to remove air. Inspect nearby pipes for rust or abrasion.
