    Radiator Pressure Cap — OEM‑grade cooling protection ❄️

    This compact cap is a key safety valve for your cooling system. It seals the radiator, holds a precise pressure, and controls coolant flow to and from the reservoir. With correct pressure, the coolant’s boiling point increases, keeping engine temperature stable and preventing overheating, cavitation, and hose damage. A fresh, high‑quality cap means fewer top‑ups and longer radiator and water pump life.

    Why you need it

    - Keeps coolant pressurized so it won’t boil in traffic or on climbs
    - Sends expanding coolant to the overflow tank and pulls it back as the engine cools
    - Blocks air entry that causes corrosion and hot spots

    How it works

    A spring‑loaded relief valve opens at the set rating to vent excess coolant to the reservoir. On cooldown, a vacuum valve opens to draw fluid back, preventing hose collapse. A molded rubber gasket seals the neck; the stainless spring maintains constant pressure cycle after cycle.

    When it fails ⚠️

    Overheating, coolant loss, hard upper hose when hot, collapsed hose when cold, brown crust near the filler neck, frequent top‑ups, weak cabin heat, or even a blown hose or radiator core in severe cases.

    Pro tips ✅

    Replace every 3–5 years or at first sign of a cracked seal. Always remove/install on a cold engine. Align tabs and lock firmly. Pressure‑test if unsure.
