Air Flow Sensor for Mitsubishi SUVs and Pickups

This high-quality air flow meter keeps your Mitsubishi running smooth, clean, and efficient. It measures the air going into the engine so the ECU can deliver the right fuel. Expect stable idle, strong torque, quick starts, and lower emissions .

Why you need it

Without correct air data, the mixture goes rich or lean. That means poor fuel economy, sluggish response, rough idle, and fast catalyst wear. A healthy sensor protects the engine and exhaust system.

How it works

It’s a hot-wire MAF. A heated element sits in the intake stream. As airflow changes, the sensor varies voltage. The ECU reads this in grams/second and adjusts fuel, timing, and EGR for every throttle move.

If it fails ⚠️

  • Hard start or stalling
  • Flat spots and weak acceleration
  • High fuel use and smoke
  • Check Engine light (MAF/mixture codes)
  • Limp mode, fouled plugs, clogged catalyst

Long driving with a bad sensor can damage O2 sensors, turbo (if fitted), and catalytic converter.

Install tips βœ…

  • Plug-and-play; match connector and airflow arrow
  • Use a clean air filter; no oiled filters
  • Clear codes and reset fuel trims after install
