Upper Rear Window Moulding Trim
This upper rear window trim finishes the glass edge, seals out water, and keeps wind noise low. It frames the top of the back glass, giving a clean look and protecting paint and glass from UV, dust, and vibration. Perfect for restoring factory fit on Mitsubishi sedans.
Why you need it ️
With age, the original rubber hardens and the outer lip cracks. Gaps let rain, wash water, and road dust enter the channel. A fresh moulding keeps the cabin quiet, prevents leaks, and preserves the body flange and glass bonding line.
How it works ⚙️
The trim clips along the roof edge of the rear glass. Its profiled rubber lip presses against the glass, forming a weather seal. The outer ridge guides water away, while the rigid spine keeps the shape stable at highway speed.
If the trim is damaged ❗
Expect wind whistle, drip lines in the parcel shelf, fogging, and louder road noise. Water can creep under the glass edge, risking corrosion, adhesive failure, or glass rattle. Paint can chafe where the old trim rubs.
Fitment & install notes
OEM-style piece, pre-shaped for the roof curve. Clean the channel, align center, then press along to seat the clips. Use a plastic tool, no metal. Light soap helps; finish with UV-safe protectant.
