How it works ️
Bolts to the axle flange on the right-hand side. The parking brake shoes rest against it; when engaged, shoes press inside the rotor hat. The plate’s contours deflect debris, and factory geometry keeps alignment true.
When it’s damaged ⚠️
Common signs: scraping noises, uneven park-hold, dragging, seized adjuster, fast shoe wear, possible ABS wire harm. Rust-through can fail inspection and expose lines to impact.
Fit and install notes ✅
Stamped steel with anti-corrosion coating. RH only; best replaced in pairs. Soak fasteners, clean hub face, set shoe clearance, and torque evenly.
