Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Hose Line ??
This hose line is a key link between the transmission and the oil cooler. It is needed to move hot ATF (automatic transmission fluid) out to the cooler and return it back at the right temperature. Keeping fluid cool helps protect clutch packs, seals, valve body passages, and overall shift quality.
How it works
During driving, the transmission heats the ATF. This line carries pressurized fluid through the cooler circuit, where heat is removed, then sends the cooled ATF back into the gearbox. The reinforced hose construction allows flex with engine movement while maintaining a tight, leak-free flow path.
Why replacement matters
With age, heat and ATF exposure can harden the rubber, weaken the reinforcement, or crack the ends. A failing line can seep, balloon, or burst under pressure. Even a small leak drops fluid level and invites air into the system.
