Power Steering Oil Pump Assembly
This pump is the heart of the hydraulic power steering system. It creates steady oil flow and pressure so the steering wheel feels light and controlled, especially during parking and low-speed turns ?.
Why this part is needed
Without proper hydraulic pressure, the steering rack cannot assist your input. This unit keeps the system supplied with pressurized fluid, protecting the rack, hoses, and seals from stress caused by air or low flow.
How it works
The pump is driven by the engine belt and spins internal vanes/rotor to pull fluid from the reservoir, then pushes it through the steering lines. A built-in pressure control valve helps maintain correct assist and prevents overpressure when the wheel is held at full lock.
