Clutch Master Cylinder Assembly for Mitsubishi ?
This hydraulic cylinder is a key part of the clutch system. It is needed to convert your foot pressure on the clutch pedal into hydraulic pressure, so the clutch can disengage smoothly and the gearbox can shift without grinding.
How It Works ⚙️
When you press the pedal, an internal piston moves and pushes brake-style fluid through the clutch line to the slave cylinder. That pressure moves the clutch fork and releases the clutch plate. A good unit keeps pressure steady, seals tight, and returns the pedal cleanly after each press.
Signs of a Failing Unit & What Happens If It Breaks ❗
If seals wear or the bore gets scored, fluid may leak internally or externally. You may feel a soft pedal, hard shifting, or the pedal may sink to the floor. Air can enter the system, causing incomplete clutch release. If it fails fully, you can lose clutch control and may be unable to select gears, especially when stopping or starting in traffic.
