Premium Engine Oil Filter β OEM Ref: MQ718353
Why this part is needed οΈ
This engine lube filter keeps oil clean by stopping carbon dust, fine metal, and sand from circulating. Clean oil protects bearings, cams, and timing parts, so the motor stays quiet and strong. It also supports stable oil pressure and smooth cold starts, extending engine life and helping fuel economy.
How it works
A micron-rated media (cellulose/synthetic blend) traps contaminants as oil flows through. A silicone anti-drainback valve holds oil in the housing, preventing dry start wear. The bypass valve opens only if the element is fully loaded, keeping flow to the engine under extreme conditions. A strong can, crimped seams, and a molded gasket ensure leak-free sealing and correct pressure.
What happens if the filter is broken β οΈ
Clogging or a torn element leads to low pressure, start-up rattle, oil light flicker, and sludge. Dirty oil speeds bearing wear, scuffs cam lobes, and can stress the timing chain. In severe cases, the bypass runs constantly, sending grit to journals and turbo (if fitted), risking costly repairs.
Service notes β½
Replace every 10,000β15,000 km or 6β12 months, sooner in dusty or short-trip use. Lightly oil the gasket, tighten by hand to spec, and check for leaks after start.
