MN158596 ignition spark plug for reliable Mitsubishi performance

Why this part is needed

This plug delivers a clean, strong spark so your engine starts fast, idles smooth, and accelerates with confidence. Correct heat range and reach protect the combustion chamber, stabilize fuel economy, and keep emissions low. Using the right plug also reduces stress on coils and wiring, extending overall ignition system life.

How it works โšก

The coil sends high voltage to the center electrode. The charge jumps the preset gap to the ground strap, igniting the airโ€‘fuel mix. A resistor core filters electrical noise, the ceramic insulator contains voltage, and the shell transfers heat to the cylinder head. Proper heat control lets the tip self-clean without causing knock or pre-ignition.

When the plug is worn or damaged

Expect hard starts, rough idle, misfire under load, poor fuel economy, sluggish throttle, and a flashing Check Engine light (common P030x codes). Long-term neglect can foul the catalyst and overwork the coil. Replace as a set, check gap to spec, start threads by hand, and torque on a cold engine for a perfect seal.
