Engine Breather Hose Assembly for Rocker Cover
This hose assembly connects the rocker/valve cover breather outlet to the intake ventilation path, helping the engine “breathe” correctly ?. How It Works
During operation, small amounts of combustion gases slip past the piston rings. The breather system carries these vapors through this hose, where they are safely re-burned in the engine. The molded shape keeps the line kink-free and maintains steady airflow for stable idle and clean running.
What Happens If It’s Broken
A cracked, hardened, or loose hose can cause vacuum leaks, rough idle, oil smell, and oily residue around the valve cover. Excess crankcase pressure may lead to oil seepage from gaskets and seals, and in severe cases can contaminate the intake with oil, increasing smoke and deposits ⚠️.
