Engine Lubrication Filter β€” OEM ME227821 ️

This premium engine oil filter is built for Mitsubishi applications and engineered to protect bearings, camshafts, and turbos by keeping oil clean and pressure stable. It delivers dependable filtration on daily drives and long hauls .

Why you need it βš™οΈ

Motor oil carries soot, dust, and tiny metal from normal wear. The filter traps these particles (down to fine microns), so they don’t score journals or clog oil passages. Clean oil equals cooler running, quiet operation, and longer engine life.

How it works ️

Inside the heavy-gauge canister sits multi-layer cellulose/synthetic media with tight pleats for high dirt capacity. A silicone anti-drainback valve keeps oil from draining out, giving fast pressure on cold starts. A calibrated bypass valve opens only when oil is too thick or the media is saturated, preventing starvation while minimizing unfiltered flow.

When to replace ⏱️

Change every 8–10,000 km or 6–12 months; sooner with dusty roads, short trips, or towing. Lubricate the gasket, install hand-tight (about 3/4 turn after contact), and check for leaks.

If it fails ⚠️

Watch for low oil pressure light, lifter tick, turbo whine, gritty dark oil, or gasket seepage. A clogged or collapsed element can trigger bypass, sending dirty oil through the engine. Risks include sludge, cam wear, bearing scoring, overheating, and turbo damage. A bad anti-drainback valve causes dry starts and rapid wear.

Fitment notes

Matches OE dimensions and thread for proper seal. Clean the mounting pad, replace the sealing ring, and pre-fill if installed vertically. Dispose of the old unit responsibly .
