Rear Main Oil Seal for Mitsubishi Engines β€” OE ref ME011867 ?️

Why you need it ?

This rear crankshaft seal keeps engine oil inside where the crank exits the block near the flywheel. It protects the clutch or torque converter from oil, maintains correct oil level, and keeps the bellhousing clean. It’s a small part with a big jobβ€”essential for long engine life and clean drivability.

How it works ?️

A precision rubber lip with a tension spring hugs the crank journal and wipes oil back into the engine. A coated steel shell locks into the housing, while micro-ridges on the lip guide oil inward during rotation. Built to handle heat, vibration, and crankcase pulses, this crankshaft rear seal ensures stable sealing at idle and high RPM.

When it fails ⚠️

Expect oil drips at the bellhousing, burning smell, slipping clutch, messy underbody, rising oil consumption, and potential low oil pressure. Left unchecked, it can wear bearings and contaminate the starter or flywheel, leading to costly repairs.

Fitment & tips βœ…

Designed to OE dimensions for select Mitsubishi models. Always confirm by VIN. Install flush with a proper driver, lightly oil the lip, and inspect the crank surface for grooves. Check PCV/breather health, clean the housing, and torque flywheel/flexplate bolts correctly. A quality rear main seal prevents leaks and restores factory reliability.
