Keep your Mitsubishi automatic shifting smooth with this OEM-quality hydraulic filter. It protects the pump, solenoids, and precision valves by keeping ATF clean and pressure stable. Perfect for pan service or rebuild, and a smart preventative upgrade. β
Why you need it
ATF collects clutch dust and micro-metal from normal wear. Without proper filtration, debris scores valves, sticks solenoids, and reduces line pressure. A fresh filter extends clutch pack and torque converter life, preventing flare, slip, and heat build-up.
How it works οΈ
A molded housing with fine media screens fluid drawn from the pan before it reaches the pump. The pickup neck seals with an O-ring to the hydraulic passage; pan magnets catch chips, while the media traps fine silt. Result: clean ATF and consistent shift control.
If clogged or damaged β
Expect delayed Drive/Reverse engagement, harsh or erratic shifts, shudder on kickdown, pump whine, overheating, AT warning lights, or limp mode. Continued driving can burn fluid, stick spools in the valve block, and destroy clutches.
Service tips
