    This OEM transfer input gear sits on the transfer case main shaft. It takes torque from the gearbox and feeds the high/low range, then splits power to the front and rear prop shafts. Made from hardened alloy steel with precise helical teeth, it keeps load transfer smooth and quiet, managing heat in a constant oil bath. Built for towing, off‑road use, and daily driving.

    Why this part is needed ?

    A healthy input gear gives reliable 4WD engagement and steady torque delivery. It protects bearings and synchronizers, stops slip, and keeps drivetrain NVH low. Replacing a worn gear restores power flow, reduces whine, and extends transfer case life.

    How it works ?️

    The splined hub fixes to the shaft; helical teeth mesh with the drive gear. Correct backlash spreads force across the tooth face, while oil film and set preload handle shock loads in low range. Proper torque, shimming, and alignment during install are essential.
